Income Report – January 2016

Welcome to Income Mesh’s 12th income report.

I am writing these income reports each month so that I can track my traffic and income progress and so that you can learn from me, follow my steps and make money like I do.

What happened in January 2016

January 2016 for Income Mesh wa a bit slow, income wise and content wise.

I published an article about 100+ Best Fiveer Gigs for Marketers and Bloggers, you should check it out. Together with my income report for December 2015.

One of the reasons why Income Mesh didn’t grow so much in January was because I was launching my first Amazon affiliate niche site.

That niche site, which will remain hidden from you guys (from obvious reasons) is up and running and slowly filling up with content.

Since making money from Amazon as an affiliate is hot right now, I decided to create a new blog specially covering topics about making money from Amazon as an affiliate.

If you are interested in how to make money from Amazon please vote YES in this short (one question, yes/no) poll. That Amazon niche blog is not live yet, but it should be in a couple of weeks, I just need to set some things before launch and write a couple of really amazing article (1 article already finished).

If you would like to be notified when I launch, please click here and join the waiting list. You will get an email from me as soon as the website goes live.

Other than that I am working on my second Amazon niche site which should go live in February. Plus, I have serious plans on created digital products e-commerce site which should go live hopefully in March 2016.

So a lot of work ahead, but Income Mesh will stay updated too. I have some really cool articles ahead, so remember to come back regularly. 🙂

Back to our topic, let’s see how did January go in terms of traffic and income.

Traffic Statistics

GA-Overview-Jan-Dec-Comparison-2016

Traffic from the beginning of January went really nice, mostly because of my article about Fiverr gigs. But it lost moment since I didn't publish anything interesting after that.

But, since my Googla Anaytics traffic is not completely reliable, due to analytics spam, we'll know better what exactly happened when we check the channel report below.

GA-Channels-Comparison-2016-January

This is why you need to go deeper when checking your Google Analytics to see what exactly is happening underneath all that data.

For example in this case I see that my organic (Google) traffic is actually higher by almost 8% which I love. There's nothing better than free traffic coming from Google.

I can also see that the drip in my traffic was caused by 50% decrease in referral traffic. Again, not that big of issue for me since a lot of it was actually fake spam traffic recorded only in analytics.

Now my favorite statistics part, let's see which one of my articles were most popular.

My main money articles are still kicking good, though a bit weaker than the previous month.

Also, newcomer Best Fiverr Gigs took a piece of the traffic cake.

Here's the social media traffic:

There's really nice increase in social media traffic. I am working on getting that even higher and will tell you all about it when I put all pieces together. I'll tell you a secret though, it's all automated 🙂

Income Report

Again, somewhat average month for Income Mesh, not even $500.

I would be happier if I didn't get so much refunds in January (like $200-$300 was refunded), that would make this income report much nicer. But, when doing affiliate marketing you have to be prepared for that too.

Revenue:

Thrive tools – $206.32 (see my Thrive Leads review here + my Thrive Content Builder review here)
Feature Box (by Pluggmatter) – $28.50
10 Minute Funnels – $78.00
Popup Ally – $48.50
Optimize Press 2.0 – $38.80
GetResponse – $4.95
Article Optimization Blueprint – $9.99

= $415.11

Expenses:

GetResponse – $13.46

Profit: $401.65

Wrapping it up
