Hey guys, how's it going, John here from unbeatable tech in today's tutorial, I want to show you how to set your homepage to be the beginning of your sales funnel. Specifically, get away from having your homepage look like this, but just a bunch of blog posts. This is not conversion focused. I'm going to show you how to set it up.
So that as soon as somebody comes to your website, which is just your domain.com, they see the beginning of your funnel, where they can get in and start purchasing your products and signing up for your email list. It is super simple. It only takes a couple of steps. Let's go ahead and dive right in.
All right. So the first thing I want to do here is let's go into the back end of our. Website by going to our website slash WP admin. And we'll come on down to Wu funnels. In this example, we're using Wu funnels as our funnel builder, but the same thing can work with cart flows or any other plugin really that you're using in this case though, I got the question about Wu funnels.
So I thought I'd answer it. We'll come here and go to funnels. All right. Now we see a list of our funnels here and I made one specifically called homepage funnel just to help out with this demonstration. So we'll go ahead and click into the funnel. We want to work. And let's see what this page is. I'm going to go ahead and view it, and this is the funnel that I want to work with.
So I'm going to go, go ahead and come back to our area here and let me click on the opt-in itself.
And then we'll go also changed the Euro slug to free ebook. But again, this one doesn't matter so much since we were setting this up as our homepage. And let me actually remove that, uh, dash there. So now it's just free ebook and I'll say update. Cool. So now all you have to do is come on down to your settings and to reading, we'll click into reading, and this is where you, this is like WordPress 1 0 1.
Where, what does your homepage display by default is going to show just your latest posts over here, but we're just going to select a static page. It's not only pages that will show up. You should also see your free ebook, which was what we just named a second ago. So I'll select that and hit save. And now if everything worked correctly, whenever I go to view site, it will not show my blog posts.
It will now show at the beginning of my funnel. And now I can dive in and start getting leads and sales. Just like that. So I hope that was super helpful.
